London’s Danny J Lewis releases his new album “Night Tales,” a sensory experience that tells the story of two people who meet and fall in love over the course of a tempestuous 12 hour period. With a diverse blend of Deep House, RnB, Breaks, UK Garage, Dub Reggae, Tech House and more, the album showcases Danny’s versatility and creativity as a producer and composer. Influences are wide and varied and range from Final Fantasy, Streets Of Rage, Larry Heard, Louis Cole, MJ Cole, David Morales and Jimpster to Ryuichi Sakamoto, John Barry and the early James Bond Soundtracks.
The album features 16 tracks that follow the couple from getting ready in their separate apartments, their first meeting at a wine bar, sensual dancing at a club, and their surprising emotional fall out. Each track is carefully crafted to convey the mood and atmosphere of the story, with genre spanning interludes adding diverse depth and texture to the journey.
“Night Tales” is a tribute to the power of music to convey emotions and evoke memories. It is a journey through the highs and lows of love, and a reflection on the complexities of human connection.
“I wanted to create something that reflects my musical upbringing via a range of divergent yet cohesive styles” said Danny J Lewis. “I hope the listeners can feel the energy, the emotion and the depth of the tracks, and enjoy the journey as much as I did.”
